Death becomes her: De Lempicka brought to life

This is a Tamara De Lempicka painting come to life. It’s as if the creative team breathed life into one of De Lempicka’s sensual Art Deco dames, painting living colour on her lips and setting the undulating waves, crisp and clean, into her hair. Marijana Gligic’s images at first glance have you questioning, is this a super-realistic painting, or an artistically done photograph?

In Ivan Dzolic’s styling is De Lempicka’s influence also seen, the 1920s and 30s creeping into the soft red coat and white draping gown. The beautiful hair by Jovana Velickovic and makeup by Irena Miletic complete the transformation of Marina Krtinic from model into living painting.

Drawing you in fully with its mix of blocky Deco backdrop and graceful photography, you can view the full shoot by Marijana Gligic (marijanagligic.com) by clicking on the gallery.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
