Unabated, looking powerful and at ease with the revealing of her flawless body, Iris Van Der Sluis does nudity with a rock-star-like attitude. And it’s the fact that Suzan Van Gemeren chose to shoot the series of pictures in black and white that adds extra layers of elegance and a timeless feel to the otherwise raw and bare portraits of beauty. Sometimes the absence of colour speaks above everything else.
Athletic with an edgy facet, subtly hinting towards androgyny, all while retaining the devil-may-care demeanor, the styling put together by Sylvia Harding talks loudly despite it not being overly complex, or overly done. A few basic pieces of clothing defined by black, a nice pair of sexy heeled boots and a statement necklace that works best when worn on its own, complement the tasteful bareness of the skin.
Long, sleek locks caught against a gentle whiff, and dramatic cat eyes set in contrast with the rest of the barely there make-up, were the elements that finished off the portrait, as envisioned by Peter Dwars.
