Dressing down with a white shirt

There’s no real end to the number of things you can do with a crisp white shirt. Here are four of them. And in case that wasn’t enough, here’s another, as spotted at Milan fashion week.

This wearer paired hers with a long red lace skirt, the white shirt keeping the look appropriate for day time and not too dressy. Red sunglasses and a red perspex-shelled clutch kept the accessories themed to the skirt.

The outfit in itself is simple enough, but the wow factor hinges on having interesting accessories. Add the headband and shoes, and you’ve got yourself a deal.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
