Vogue Paris isn’t ready to farewell the ’70s just yet. Or, if they are, they’d prefer to do it with a bang not a whimper.
Anja Rubik is the September issue’s hippie icon. Melanie Ward’s styling does its best to embrace every possible bohemian free-loving ’70s cliche in living memory, from cossack hats to suede fringing, high-waisted denim to all kinds of luxe fur coats. But there’s also a kind of modern softness that forms in floating white sunday pleats and sophisticated cuts.
Other eras may be on the rise, but the ’70s revival is far from over. As such, the Inez & Vinoodh photographed series is well worth drawing your latest bout of boho inspiration from.
