Dark lips, bright eyes, a Gypsy soul

Some things are inherently mysterious. Deep shades of red lipstick. Bell sleeves on dresses. Blonde eyebrows and untinted lashes.

Together these elements of mysticism are a force to be reckoned with, especially when they manifest on model Eva Downey in a masterful fit of luxury bohemian styling. In her shoot for the 34th issue of FASHIONTREND Australia, Downey is styled by Kate Gaskin into intricate lace dresses by Zimmermann, alongside the mosaic prints and regal jewellery of Dolce & Gabbana.

Captured with clarity and precision by photographer Michael Naumoff, the shoot – titled Gypsy – is rounded out by the deliberately dishevelled hair and darkly romantic makeup by Desiree Wise.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
