Keeping photos for a rainy day: Hannah Glasby

Sometimes shoots get lost. Like old photos in a dusty shoebox, they’re tucked away for safekeeping – not to be forgotten, but to only be brought out again when the time is right. Like the Miranda Kerr nudes that photographer Laurent Darmon suddenly decided to release into the wild of the internet earlier this month, or these shots of a young Hannah Glasby as photographed by Antony Nobilo (antonynobilo.com).

Glasby has been working steadily since these early shots from 2007. In fact you can find her in the pages of Flare Magazine’s September issue, amoung other places. Shot at Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, Nobilo’s images captured something in Glasby that was already evident from day one: confidence, energy, awareness.

With the release of Bambi issue 11 Nobilo decided the time was right to lift the lid on the shoebox and bring the shots of Hannah to light. You can view them all by clicking on the gallery.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
