Captivated by the still-life photographic work of Walter Wick, who engaged youthful minds with his series of ‘I SPY’ books in the 90s, photographer Cameron Etchells and stylist Claire Mueller were inspired to look at jewellery in a new light. Setting up stand-alone environments to place each set of adornments in their (somewhat tongue-in-cheek) ‘natural habitats’, one sees details and angles that are often neglected, and indeed almost has to look twice to pick out the products featured in the accompanying beauty shots.
