Lingerie-inspired. Slick and sporty. Somehow these two concepts seem disparate, not the kind of elements that would gel together easily. And yet IYA Australia created a simple wonder in their spring / summer 2014 collection: this black bikini with multiple lingerie-like straps that’s equal parts sporty and sexy.
IYA’s girl “lives life to its fullest, she falls in love easily, jumps deep into the ocean… she lives for the moment, lives for the now.” So it makes sense that she’d need swimwear that’s both practical and head-turning, and from the aforementioned strappy bikini to a high-necked sporty halter, that’s what they deliver.
The collection’s campaign stars model Laura Andric, who could easily be the embodiment of the girl IYA describes – fun, fit, adventurous and sexy all at once.
