Julia Nobis topless is Superfine

Julia Nobis‘ bared breasts and tattooed skin are as much the stars of the latest Superfine campaign as the denim pieces she’s modelling. And why shouldn’t they be? If advertising is about portraying the lifestyle, the aesthetic, the soul of a brand – about creating desire to be a particular thing – then Superfine’s edginess and attitude are what’s on sale, not just pairs of jeans.

Inspired by David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust alter ego, the brand’s rock’n'roll aesthetic is on full display in the autumn / winter 2013 imagery. Nobis sports pieces beyond the super-skinny silhouette and into the realm of houndstooth flared pantsuits, oversized coats and open-weave knits. The denim pieces that do appear set themselves apart from the pack with printed details, laser treatments and marbled washes.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
