The task of putting Karl Lagerfeld on the cover of i-D magazine must seem like something of a conundrum. As you’re more than likely aware, the cover of i-D magazine has to feature its star / model winking – their eyes echoing the title’s logo. But how do you get Karl Lagerfeld to wink on the cover of your spring 2012 issue given he never takes his sunglasses off?
