As androgyny and fashion are increasingly paired through the coming autumn / winter season you’ll see much of this: an interpretation of androgyny that leans towards the sapphic. Sapphism turns heads, but this season androgyny gives it a rather wide berth even if many a photographer will still lean towards it.

And lean towards it Karlie Kloss and Daria Strokous certainly could have on their rather awkwardly posed Numero cover. We put that down to the metallics of the dress that dominated Jean Paul Gaultier’s Haute Couture Autumn 2012 collection.
