A movie inspired photo shoot comes to life in this fashionable and daring display captured by photographer Marko Arsic. This anachronistic fashion shoot takes us back to a place in the 1980’s, to a place of big coats, pencil skirts and crimped hair. To a place where women were dangerous and there was a distinct psychosis that sat behind their eyes.
Stylist, Ana Ostojic, uses an array of outfits to set the scene and tone of this shoot – from ankle boots to pencil heels and cow patterned wedges. The texture of the clothing also plays a large role; semi-transparent rubber coats, woollen jerseys and silken skirts. The use of fashion and accessories (the punctuating hat) helps to set a scene and tell a story within this shoot. With an underlying Alfred Hitchcock inspiration the story of this fashion shoot rings true to the viewer.
Hair (done by Maja Denic) and make-up (done by Mina Abramovic) allows for emphasis to be placed on the inspiration and texture that comes from this fashion shoot – strong dark eyes and lips, and waved hair.
