You’re FCUK and you’ve not just got a scent to launch, but a name to live up to. The name of that scent is Friction. FCUK Friction. Such pairings of acronyms and words can only really lead to one type of ad campaign. The risque type. You can go out and create a new campaign and pay the big bucks to have big name talent involved. Or you can do things differently. You can use imagery that already exists. Imagery that was never meant to be an advert. Imagery that is as every bit risque and as titillating as the way you want your brand to be perceived.

And that’s precisely what FCUK have done, turning to one of Lindsay Lohan’s most erotically charged, threesome angled and nudity laden photo shoots for their campaign imagery.

It’s a photo shoot from Muse magazine’s Winter 2009 issue that FCUK have opted to use. Photographed by Yu Tsai and featuring Lindsay Lohan, Petey Wright and Sofia Boutella, the latter has been dropped, removing the threesome angle but sticking with the hedonism.

Lindsay Lohan is no stranger when it comes to appearing in an ad campaign, so it’s no surprise FCUK chose an image of the actress from her infamous spread for Muse magazine for their new fragrance “Friction.” Modeling alongside male model Petey Wright, Lindsay was shot by fashion photographer Yu Tsai, the same photographer who shot her stunning nude spread for Playboy.

As for the FCUK scent itself, I can’t vouch for whether it’s any good or not. French Connection tell us that “fcuk friction is an alluring blend of fresh citrus, sensual musk and warm woods – scents with addictive notes that pique all five senses and leave you begging for more.”
