Cat ears and lingerie: Lucia Lolita

More than usually devine and adorable – and for auteur Vivinne Mok that’s saying something – is this shoot of model Lucia. The qualities of sweetness and sensuality conflict and yet compliment one another in the youthful, Lolita-like styling, where cat ear headbands, lace gloves and thigh-high stockings meet.

A rebellious pink streak in Lucia’s hair – styled by Leslie Faure into deliberate dishevelment – counteracts the saccharine sweetness of the looks, as do chunky platform heels. But in every other way, from scalloped hems to beds of tulle, cupcakes to clear plastic coats, mint green blouses to floral dresses, this dreamy scene is delectably girlish.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
