Lingerie for the senses: Nina by 35mm

If lingerie does its job right, it goes far beyond the functional. It’s tactile, sensual, confidence-boosting. For the past few weeks we’ve been partaking in an Olympic sized (well, not quite) celebration of all things lingerie, spurred on by the release of new collections from the world’s leading lingerie brands. It’s one of the few categories of clothing where seasons have little to do with desire; when our clothes come off, we want to look good – all year round.

Continuing our love of all things lacy comes this shoot, photographed by 35mm for Fashionising.com.

Starring the gorgeous Nina (represented by London Models), it’s an indulgence of delicate lingerie pieces and soft knits: there’s a warm and inimitable feeling of wool and French lace both touching the skin at the same time that never fails to delight. You can’t help but imagine that feeling when you view these photos, while on particular feathered piece has a similar effect. Classically glamorous hair and deep plum lips perfect the look, as created by Phoebe Goulding.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
