Lost Adulation: a shoot styled with Art Deco abandon

There is a dreamlike mystery created by the darkness and the shadows, the revelation and the concealment of dark deeds that occur within the patterned walls of hidden rooms. Photographer, Samantha Jarrett creates an all-embracing fashion shoot of delicate materials, textured detail, chain and feather accessories and enticing make up.

Stylist on the shoot, Bianca Christoff, makes use of the vintage movement of art deco and the 1920’s fashion, taking the sensual style of a set time-period and using the creativity of both arts and architecture to inspire and build upon designer triumph.  Snowflake print halters and waxed feather turkey feathers are the introduction to this seductive shoot of skin and lace. Barely-there nightingale mini skirts and natural button jewels drape down the body of each of these models, adding to their impeccable look of refinement and seduction.

Hair (done by Violetta Alekseyey) and make-up (done by Kate Blainey) follows suit with the sensuous beauty and hairstyles of the flapper era, with touches of burlesque flare. Light waves kinking the hair of model, Morgan, contrasts slicked back white locks of Kristen, both with the added accentuation of fiery red lips and luscious dark eyes.

Born into the humble town of Franschhoek, South Africa it was little wonder that Chevaun Roux would find her flavour in life through good food, good wine and stylish apparel. After completing a Bacherlors Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics the world of freelance writing became the first choice in occupation, with no regrets and having never looked back. With a zest for anything with colour, vibrance and essence she found herself diving further into the world of fashion and design; from thifting vintage wedding dresses to pouring through new and modern jewelry pieces. This self anointed bohemian indentity believes in all the partisan revolutionary ideals of love, beauty and freedom, and when she isn’t writing or editing you can find her at the kitchens helm creating her latest milkshake masterpiece.
