In sticking with her usual style and skill, photographer Charley Greenfield, paints a beautiful and natural portrait of women as superior beings, covered by the natural light of the sun and surrounded by the cool presence of the earth. The photography, fashion and style in the shoot all come together to create something that is mesmerising and titillating to the senses, and make these female forms appear like goddesses and ancient warriors.
The fashion in this shoot is of an elegant Bohemian style – flowing material, lace or crochet, vintage colouring of black and white and eclectic jewels across the forehead, around the neck and covering the hands. This same sentiment rings true with the hair and make-up in the shoot (done by Luciana Rose), delicate and natural use of make-up in daylight contrasts the heavy and warrior-like decoration of night. Hair falls effortlessly to the shoulders of the models (Sarah Matthews and Zoe Cross) who carry their appearances with a natural, noble gait.
Each element in this shoot speaks to the beatnik and the carefree, giving a loving light to not only the fashion in the shoot but the women who wear it and the beautiful settings they are in.
