Sometimes styling and photography meet in such perfect harmony. It could be good fortune, but more likely a shared vision or a skill at making the most of what everyone brings to the team. This is one of those moments of alignment. The looks created by stylist Raymond Gee for the shoot, titled Genesis, are heightened by props: masks, a bronzed shield. The clothes themselves have an avant grade edge and a fantastical, costume-like feel. Michelle Aristocrat’s photography, creative direction and ability to work with the model all come together to create a powerful photo series that’s part ancient, part modern, wholly mysterious.
