The dapper men of Pitti tend towards either the ultra-sharp, the casually understated, or the boldly flamboyant. The latter male is a creature that comes in many forms – often he’s decked out in bright colours, or quirky accessories – but he can also be seen fearlessly sporting clashing prints. Checks, plaids, gingham, polka dots… to this confident breed of male, no pattern is off-limits.

clashing prints for men

Remember that if you want to try this one for yourself, the trick is not to do it by halves. Confidence is key to making a clash a deliberate statement rather than one that looks like you simply got dressed in the dark.

Snapped a day 3 of Pitti Uomo.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
