Miranda Kerr: from a campaign to the street

Such is the value of street style to brands that most fashion houses liberally give away their next season clothes and accessories to the models who have just walked their catwalks. That value is seen more than two-fold if the model in concern catches not just the eye of street style photographers but also the paparazzi. Hence models such as Miranda Kerr don’t simply front advertising campaigns, but become brand effective ambassadors.

Even when that ambassadorship is as subtle as it is here. Photographed in New York, it’s the slightest of elements that sees Miranda Kerr carry her fronting of Bally‘s spring 2012 campaign onto the streets – it’s not the handbag as you might assume, but Bally’s Stredas Sandals that provide the link.

He was 5 when his teacher wrote on his report card “Daniel can’t sit still.” Taking it as a compliment, he’s been on the go ever since. Having flown over 590,000 kilometres in a single year (2012), he’s done much to push the boundaries of a fashioniser, always looking to fold one extra Tom Ford suit into his set of Samsonite cases and for one extra occasion to tie a tie for. As much an editor-at-large as he is Fashionising.com’s Editor-in-chief, when he's not travelling to all the fashion weeks his passports will allow him to, Daniel works on guiding this publication’s editorial and trend views.
