Are all these models also icons?

They’re all models at the top of their game (or at least near enough to it), but is Antidote magazine right to call them all icons?

For their spring / summer 2012 issue, Antidote has applied the icon label to the following models: Bianca Balti, Malgosia Bela, Naomi Campbell, Saskia de Brauw, Eva Herzigova, Natasha Poly, Aymeline Valade and Lindsey Wixson. The description of the likes of Poly and Campbell as icons of their industry its hard to argue with – the likes of Wixson feel decidedly too fresh to the industry, however.
