An ode to comfort and alluring casualness; a raw, black and white portrait that puts the good-old pair of jeans center stage; or a blunt photo shoot that lays a new perspective on denim as timeless staple. These and more intriguing concepts are being effortlessly explored by Nectario Karolos Papazacharias in a sexy, provocative and minimalist series of photographs that talk jeans as a second skin.
Without resorting to any kind of ostentation, choosing to evoke a rather rough and sensual simplicity, Papazacharias uses loose, distressed and oversized denim to call forth on the ease of throwing on the favourite pair of jeans and feeling ready to conquer the world. Dominated by confidence and a powerful attitude, Papazacharias’ shoot is edgy enough without loosing its credibility, bringing to mind the quiet glam that defined the black and white denim ads back in the 1990s.

Worn backwards or covering the upper body, the jeans modeled by Andromahi, Georgina, Monica, Vanessa & Vasiliki don’t require any sorts of accessories, looking provocative as paired solely to bare skin, flawless hair and natural make-up. While hard to find, wearing pretty much nothing but our favorite pair of jeans should make us feel equally fearless.
