Made up in muted colours and organic natural light, photographer Luca Meneghel creates a mystifying scene of beautiful apparel, exquisite accessories and enigmatic pretences. The use of a shadowy backdrop against this porcelain skin and dark apparel of model, Monika Goneková, creates a series of portraits reminiscent of an oil painting on canvas.
The combination of the jewels (Petra Hurai) and dresses (done by Katarina Halasova) work in creating a modern take on classically elegant and beautiful ensembles. Halasova takes advantage of the natural fall of cotton on the female form, allowing for focus and accentuation on all the soft and sumptuous areas of Goneková. Make-up is soft and muted, paired with hair that is wild and fierce… continuing the theme of ornate classic allure and contrasting modern beauty.
