Most fashion films don’t have the resources or the budget to be enthralling even in the absence of a thrilling storyline. For that, it takes deep creativity on the part of the filmmaker, or in this case a brilliant and professional cast. With Roman Polanski directing and actors Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley as stars, this short film for Prada had miles of a head start.
And it actually is enthralling in the absence of a particularly thrilling storyline. Ben Kingsley, in saying nothing, gives the best performance of all.
