Prairie fairy: more magic from Morfium

Every time I see one of Morfium Couture’s bodysuits – those pastel dreams of gathered tulle that feel somehow mythological and yet modern – I fall in love all over again. We saw them in an indoor setting as Resort wear, and now variations on the piece pop up again for summer 2013. In a field of slender tall grass or set against bails of hay, they take on a different mood yet are just as pretty as before.

Prairie Fairy is the title of this latest Morfium shoot, photographed by Dusan Jaukovic. Jefimija Jokic stars as the titular Prairie Fairy; a beauty in black among the burnt out grass cinders, or in a powder blue version of that tulle bodysuit, trimmed in metallic gold and paired with a garland of dried flowers.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
