It doesn’t happen all that often for politics to inspire a brilliant fashion photo shoot but luckily, once in a while, the industry brings along a photographer who isn’t afraid to explore conflict, ambition, or to batter a pedestal with the same ease that he uses to snap fabulous pictures. Nican J. Robinson took a good look behind scenes for the controversial shoot paying homage to America’s most charged presidential candidates. Glamorous, bold and fearless, and perfectly timed for today’s presidential inauguration, this fashion spread says it all, just like it is.

And if the slightly scandalous reenactments of George Washington, John F. Kennedy or Barack Obama don’t suffice, there’s more trouble where that came from. The REDnyc models got tangled in forbidden affairs and sex scandals, all while elusively telling a story about aspiration, betrayal and debates kept behind closed doors. Stylist Samantha Swade kept the looks clean and modern without loosing sight of their original influence, while make-up artist Chris Lanston complemented the fashion extravagance.
With hair and grooming by Trudie Clark, the photo shoot offers a fantastic and creative insight over the making of a presidential candidate. To witness Nican J.
