Against a backdrop as arresting as the one provided by the beautiful streets of Paris, the magic of prints appears to be taking on a whole new life. Exploding in an infinite blast of clashing patterns, the Elle Mexico editorial photographed by Paul Morel is both intimidating and inspiring, bringing together worlds apart and keeping the winter season under a sublime impression. Because some trends simply refuse to get old.
Checks set against rich brocades, houndstooth set against bold leopard prints, and stripes set against delicate winter florals shape the print mixing fantasy that is not delimited by conventional rules, nor by the limits of a common styling approach. Starring Myf Shepherd, the parade of colliding prints and patterns carries the signatures of Burberry Prorsum, Celine, Givenchy and Tommy Hilfiger amongst others.
Sporting a severe slicked back chignon by Jean-Baptiste Santens and intense smoky eyes by Ossiel Ramos, Myf walks the fine line between femininity and masculinity, and she does so in the most graceful manner.
