They’ve been rewritten, sanitised, censored and rewritten again: but the core elements of the Grimm Brother’s fairytales remain the same, and it’s hard to imagine that a childhood could be complete without them.
On the 200th anniversary of the first ever fairytale book by the German brothers, what better time to publish this shoot by Cristina Carra Caso titled Red. Lauren Elizabeth Andrew is Little Red grown up, her lupine tormenter (played by Phillip Alexander) as dapper as a ravenous wolf could possibly be.

The Grimm Brothers’ much loved fairytales often took rather gruesome turns – but in Cristina Carra Caso’s (cristinacarracasophotography.com) shoot, we’re left deciding for ourselves how the story ends. Reminiscing on 200 years of the Little Red Riding Hood story, with red clothing styled to fantastical fairytale proportions, you can view the full shoot at the gallery above.
