Since going platinum, Ruby Jean Wilson’s look has shifted from girl-next-door to inimitable starlet. Marc Jacobs put her on his New York runway, and booked her – exclusively, it would seem – for Louis Vuitton at Paris fashion week.
In the backstage courtyard after the Vuitton show, Ruby Jean was the in-demand subject of every photographer’s lens. From her playful yet elegant demeanour to her outfit of cigarette pants, ballet flats and a burnt orange wool cap, you could easily envisage her as the modern day lovechild of Audrey Hepburn and Edie Sedgwick.
It’s no wonder every camera was on her – including ours.
