There is an indisputable show-stopping character to this entire shoot captured by Wade Livingston. From start to finish the shoot gets underneath your skin and works its way into your imagination, with illusive imagery and a notable mirage quality to the pictures, this is the kind of woman to walk into your dreams and leave you thinking about her, but never being able to pull out the details as to who she is.
Model, Melissa Cordero, is stylized with vintage inspired pieces. The high-waisted skirts of the 50’s coming through in full force, accompanied by large studded earing of pearl from the 80’s era and finally the wrapping of vintage furs straight from the flapper (1920’s) era. Stylist, Holly Olmstead, captures this vintage style with the perfect mixture of modern additions, sexual prowess and antiquated elegance. While Cher Hukill, makeup and hairstylist, uses softly curled locks and the cats-eye makeup technique to add to the look of poise and elegance.
Livingston makes use of dramatic lighting and shadows to draw the model and her features out in the shoot. Punctuations of glimmering gems give the entire look and style a higher refinement and only raises its sophisticated appearance. Cordero makes for a truly feminine and graceful frame, with her dreamlike stare and the whisper poised on her lips she truly is photographic inception in its most subtle form.
