FASHIONTREND Australia is giving us an inkling of something: maybe, just maybe, fully-fledged glamour is a state we’re starting to get nostalgic for.
This is the result of pouring some much effort into the quest for effortlessness that we’ve forgotten the absolute beauty that comes with polish. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with rocking a nondescript t-shirt and jeans like you mean it because, well, normcore. But the very existence of that term means that, elsewhere in the fashion world, people are craving the opposite. It’s this renaissance that FASHIONTREND’s latest issue catches onto, and pays a worthy tribute to.

Photographed on the recognisable historic grounds of Montsalvat outside Melbourne, everything about Bernard Gueit’s shoot for FASHIONTREND’s 35th issue is refined, luxurious, classic. Model Emilia Skuza carries every outfit with poise and grace – from black lace and gold brocade to jet beads and explosions of ruffles. Styled by Bianca Christoff, with a bold hair directive by Fred Rossidis and makeup by Kim Tavares for L’Oreal, this is more than a return to glamour; it’s imagery to inspire your own brilliant style reawakening.
