Fashion allows you to lose sight of what is happening around you, it allows you to be drawn into something artistic and creative, to envelope yourself into a world of shapes, patterns and colours; the imagined world of those in the mode. Stefan Dani (photographer) and Ana Nechita Amelian (stylist) manage to create this very kind of world through their combination of imaginative fashion wear and skilled photographic interpretation.
Through the use of dark and light, black and white, Dani constructs an almost theatrical atmosphere in which model, Tanea Golban, is left to fill the space with her radiating beauty and magnificence.
Everything about this photography shoot speaks to architectural construction and geometric composition of fashion. Representing the notions of a modern day futuristic society through shapes of triangles and chevrons, we are given a sense of sheer class and calculated design.
Along with the notable presentation of sharp and angular designs, there is also the feeling of an easy wearability, the outfits are not taken beyond the realms of conventional dress and can easily add a touch of refinement and diversification to the woman on the street. In keeping with the angular and futuristic representation within the shoot in its entirety, hair stylist Nika Karp uses defined lines in cut and styling, and makes use of completely unorthodox trimming through safety pins.
Make-up, by Alexandra Crauscu, is dark, daring – focused mainly around the intensity and alluring nature of Golban’s eyes.
The entire series of photos creates the incredible balance between clean modern lines and gorgeous wearable glamour. A masterful achievement in stylish attire and photographic representation that comes together to create a shoot that allows your mind to further explore the seemingly limitless possibilities of fashion.
