Breaking into summer is one of the most pleasing and invigorating experiences to go through on every level of life. From the warm summer sun opening up in the skies, to the pleasure of stealing away moments outdoors, to the fun and exciting additions you can make to your wardrobe. Variations of bikinis and one piece swimwear always seem to gain a significant amount of consideration as summer rolls in – and why shouldn’t they? It’s at this time that we should splash into those shapes and patterns that allow us to feel every inch of the sun.
Photographer Koray Parlak creates a spectacular portrayal of sun, sand and skin in this testament to all that is good about the summer air. Using grain and implementing a vintage hue over the photographs gives this collection a timeless quality – mixed with the fashionable and trendy swimsuit pieces within the shoot the overall appearance becomes one of exquisite glamour and quality. Stylist Hakan Ozturk creates a diverse collection with different styles and patterns featuring throughout, portraying the different inspirations that can come from swimwear fashion. As well as the diversity in application to each person’s preference.
Brigette Buckholtz (model) creates a compelling canvas on which to feature each clothing item, with a bit of a ’60s and ’70s flare to her appearance through make-up – note the twiggy eyelashes – and hair – the classic straight line fringe – Buckholtz manages to capture and carry this inclination towards the timeless apparel. One bikini even features the classic belt accessory made famous by the 1970’s Bond film.
This luscious and vivacious photography shoot creates the overriding impression of a summer to fall in love with, and the swimwear to fit right in with that.
