As for the story taking place in Fulvio Maiani’s shoot for Bambi issue 13, your guess is as good as mine. What does seem clear is that the couple at the center of this affair are ultra-glamorous, famous perhaps, and embroiled in the kind of tumultuous relationship that rockets them from the very depths to the highest of highs – and back again – on an all-too-frequent basis.

It’s easier to associate that kind of rollercoaster with the high life. We see it in literature and films time and again, the ones who fly too high and burn like Icarus because they touch the sun. It could be a modern day version of Fitzgerald’s The Beautiful and Damned, this couple our Anthony and Gloria. Fiction has taught us that partying hard and living too lush a life will inevitably see us and our relationships broken: that certainly may be true, but it doesn’t spare the rest of us the same fate.

Still, if you’re going to cloud over and then weather the storms, fix what’s broken and break it again, you might as well do it all in style. And between Michael Dye’s power-couple styling where no detail is left unattended, and the utterly inspiring hair by Ana Rodriguez Laguna and makeup by Elena Pivetta (make the eyeliner big and the hair even bigger) you can’t help but want to be there in the story. If none of us are spared the rollercoaster, we might as well take the glamorous version.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
