There is no better time than the present… to capture a moment, to take action, to fashion a dream. This photography shoot, captured by Farnaz K, reflects a moment caught in time where the emotion and feeling of the model, Yulia Panina, and the fashionable attire enrobing her are immortalised in a single thought, in a notion of innocence, love and loss.
Fashion stylist, Patricia Bower, creates looks of virtue and purity. The clothing is feminine and beautifully stylish, with an elegance and sophistication evident in every outfit. There are no limitations within the use of colour and pattern variance; from the soft candy-coloured pinks with polka-dot detail, to the neutral block colours of blue and rusted red. There are small blazons of contradicting impressions as well: studded high heels paired with soft silks, the presence of heavy furs and deeply detailed jewels. Bower creates a universal look within the portraits – showing a woman who is capable of wearing a bevy of different looks and emotions, reflective in how she looks.
A common theme throughout these portraits is the sense of organic conviction – hair (by Seiji Uehara) and make up (Susan Donoghue) are done in a simple and effortless manner; accentuating and framing the natural beauty of Panina, but not hiding her behind a layer of maquillage. Panina embodies the looks of a dreamer, of a woman in thought and with something exceedingly unique on her mind; all bought to life in this soft and delicate fashion shoot.
