The face as blank canvas

Blank Canvas (‘Lienzo en Blanco’). A new season, a range of new beauty looks to inspire from the pages of Glamour Mexico, as shot by Michael David Adams.

Makeup artist Viktorija Bowers uses the face as a canvas for highlighting various features: a shimmering metallic eye of gold and purple hues is matched by natural, unpainted lips, while all that’s needed to compliment the deepest of red lips – in one shot – is flawless skin, bare eyes, and a glow of blush.

Finally a striking combination to add to any beauty répertoire: dark lips, a wing of black and white eyeliner, and a faux fringed hairstyle as matched by hairstylist Linh Nguyen.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
