Fashion trends to modern fairytales, erotic scenes to traveling extravaganzas, unconventional beauty themes to underwater magic, they make for the usual suspects, the fantasies most likely to fill the pages of your favorite magazines, but leave it to Nicolas Guerin to dare push the boundaries (time and time again) and explore sex and fashion with a twist.

Set at the office and drawing from the 1950s woman, the dolled up muse looking pretty in figure-hugging dresses and red lips, his editorial for Fifty8 Digital Magazine “illustrates the fantastical vision of intimidating situations in the workplace“. But don’t feel sorry for the victim just yet.

Because on top of that metaphor, Guerin – alongside producer Sheri Chiu, chose to layer another fantasy, one showing a woman deriving pleasure from violence without actual violence being put on display.

A bit controversial like all best fantasies are, the shoot features styling by Yaya Moo, make-up by Cyril Laine, and hair by Fred Teglia.

Shaped by all things beautiful and feminine, Nicoleta Parascan’s first steps towards entering the captivating world of fashion were taken somewhere around the young age of six, when she received her very own first fashion magazine. Discovering an entirely new universe, filled with pretty ladies and beautiful clothes, there was not much able to ever beat or compete with the fantasy land that was suddenly opening up. Surrounded by books, constantly thinking about the next best outfit, in search of a signature style and defined by a nostalgic calling towards the past, Nicoleta believes in taking chances, in destiny and in building her own path in life. When she’s not writing, you can easily find her playing with her cat, reading an old book, watching movies, exploring the city or blogging her own daily adventures.
