The place where modern fashion & vintage opulence meet

This sensual exposé of fashion reflective of the 20’s is all one needs as an introduction into the world of modern flapper fashion. Photographer Haley Renee and stylist Rene come together to utilise and give life to the roaring 20’s. Filled with some of the most daring, elegant and inspired fashion the 20’s first showed women in their most style dominant light (as active designers and fashion gurus), as well as accentuating all the sensuality and erotic lure that they had within them.

Hair (done by Same James) and make-up (done by Thersea) is dark and lovely. Dark eyes sit above dark lush lips, and all is shadowed by a sharp-edged black bob.

The apparel in the shoot focuses on all things that are simultaneously feminine and opulent (a very fitting pairing); the classic flapper-style dress which hangs loosely with all its tassels, delicate silks and embroided or beaded detail. Fur coat accessories and netted headdresses complete the look with style and grace.

Born into the humble town of Franschhoek, South Africa it was little wonder that Chevaun Roux would find her flavour in life through good food, good wine and stylish apparel. After completing a Bacherlors Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics the world of freelance writing became the first choice in occupation, with no regrets and having never looked back. With a zest for anything with colour, vibrance and essence she found herself diving further into the world of fashion and design; from thifting vintage wedding dresses to pouring through new and modern jewelry pieces. This self anointed bohemian indentity believes in all the partisan revolutionary ideals of love, beauty and freedom, and when she isn’t writing or editing you can find her at the kitchens helm creating her latest milkshake masterpiece.
