Walk the Line by Dimitri Burtsev

“Walk the Line” might make you think of the movie title from 2005, or the Johnny Cash song it took its name from. Whether Dimitri Burtsev’s shoot was directly referencing it we can’t say, but it certainly reflects the same 1960s era in which the film was set. This photo shoot has several elements reminiscent of the movie but more importantly, the shoot figuratively walks the line between modern and mod.

Fashion in this photo shoot was by Elke Freytag and features shimmering sequins and metallic pieces that burst with glamour. Strong 60s-inspired smokey eye make up was done by Julia Hrdina and together with the clothes, model Darina Klucova represents the glittering allure of the high life; the thing that makes one walk the line.
