The scent of blossoms mingled with the warmth of the air has a curious effect upon a person: it inevitably fills one with hope.
Quite likely that’s the feeling we’re trying to recapture when we wrap ourselves in floral fabrics, each time the sun starts to seep through winter’s cracks. We hasten to pull on our airy white broderie anglaise and flower-printed silk dresses as a way of both channeling and encouraging the springtime. If spring has a God, our clothes are an offering.
Spring clothes against spring backdrops thus make for an hope-filled set of images by Igor Oussenko (oussenko.com). But the beauty of Ousseko’s images doesn’t end there. They’re also dappled with hazy sunlight, washed through with warmth, and hightened by sensuality. Georgy Rushev’s styling flawlessly fits the mood, and model Natalya Rassadnikova brings emotiveness.
With makeup by Ekaterina Kudrina and and hair by Olga Kholopova, it’s an all-over beautiful series of images, photographed for issue XI of Bambi Magazine.
Stay tuned for a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot, also coming soon. In the meantime you can view all of the images by clicking on the thumbnails and perusing the gallery. It’s well worth a look.
