If Paris is the place for ethereal, beautifully made dresses, then it makes sense for YDE Copenhagen to cement a presence here. Bringing their mix of Scandinavian cleanness of design and intricate detail to a broader audience is the next natural step for the brand; and showing during Paris fashion week for the first time puts them in good company. In a bright white open space on Rue de Turenne, YDE presented their vision of Spring 2014. One inspired by the town of Skagen in the north of Denmark, it’s a collection well worth seeing up close, from the embellished details to the impeccably crafted lace. How something can be both ornately beautiful and yet strangely unassuming is beyond comprehension, but Ole Yde always pulls it off.
At the gallery you’ll find just a few moments photographed at the presentation in Paris.
