We can rhapsodise endlessly about the beauty of youth, as we – generally speaking, modern culture at large – do our best to chase it, freeze it, prolong it. It’s easy to get so caught up in the quest for wrinkle-free skin and pert bodies that we forget that youth is more than those things. With models of just 11, 13 and 15 years old, Younger Than Ever by Szilveszter Makó (szilvesztermako.com) focuses on one of those other forgotten attributes: purity. Amidst the freshness of Medeterranean plant life these young girls are sheltered and innocent. David Nyiri’s (davidnyiri.com) styling aids in that mood with its freshness and softness. There are no painted lips or lined eyes from Dominique Roberts either; her makeup brush working not to do the girls up beyond their years, but to enhance their dewy skin and blushing cheeks.

While underage models often march into shoots under a banner of controversey, Mako’s shoot seems genuine in its aim to depict something less sinister: just a portrait of the purity of youth.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
