The third issue of Love magazine has been one hell of release. For a start, they've managed to the fusion of nudity and fashion to a whole new level. And... there isn't an and. That's solely what this issue will be remembered for. So it should come as no surprise to find that within its pages are a number of other leading models. Including Natasha Poly.
If you hadn't fathomed from the Love magazine covers, the issue contains full frontal nudity. Full frontal nudity featuring at least two of the, arguably, most popular models of recent years. First up is model Daria Werbowy. Some will see the pictures as too much. Others as art evoking the spirit of Helmut Newton.
Others shan't even blink.
So desensitized to nudity without sensuality can we become that when these pictures floated around Fashionising.com's office the discussion centred around whether or not they actually showed the decline in the popularity of the Brazilian wax. Has neat-but-au naturel returned?

Floor-length, sweeping gowns with feminine detail are most certainly the realm of Elie Saab. Perfectly at home with the style, Saab's Spring 2010 Haute Couture collection included high dress splits that were simultaneously sultry and sweet.
Giving us a sneak peek into the hair and makeup for the upcoming L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) was industry expert, LMFF Hair Director Brad Ngata. We spotted several 2010 hair trends at the L'Oreal academy when we visited including some gorgeous top knots swept up into both sleek and tousled shapes. We also saw 1940's inspired waves being made with curlers to give an old fashioned glamorous edge. So what else is in store for the festival? Watch out for braids and natural coloured hair.
If ever there was a collection to epitomise the future warrior as a 2010 fashion trend, this is it. Jean Paul Gaultier's Haute Couture collection seized on the likes of Montezuma and the Aztecs for inspiration, before turning to more cyborg style warrior plating.

Classically glamorous, aristocratic, ostentatious... yes, all attributes that John Galliano is a master of. His latest Haute Couture collection for Christian Dior is a foray into all that and more; equestrian influences were strict and tapered, giving way to flourishing gowns adorned with origami-style oversized bows, ruffles, sequins, and gatherings of lace. Always able to reinterpret classics with masterful ease, Galliano's collection is yet again breathtaking.
I can't understand a word of what Frenchman James Bort writes... but I'm not sure I really need to. A picture speaks a thousand words, after all, and Bort's images usually do just that. I'd already written about Gaultier's bloodied and bruised male models for Fall 2010; now here they are from a different perspective, backstage, as photographed by Bort.

When the Lara Stone for Love preview first hit the Internet not only were we besotted with her near-on-impossible figure, but we were pretty convinced that we may have been looking at the issue's cover. Not so. But we are now.
With a largely relaxed fit, some looks from Paul Smith's Autumn / Fall 2010 catwalk are refinement personified. Others exude a cool-as-f@@k rocker attitude that even the most weather-worn rocker wouldn't turn their nose at. Yet despite the obvious disparty between the two styles (perhaps their commonality is their obvious Britishness) both exude the obvious quality and (not always) subtle twists that Smith has become famous for.
Some of the looks on the Gucci Autumn/Fall 2010 menswear runway mean that this is a men's Fall 2010 collection that is not going to be for everyone. Roll-necks under blazers both in brown colour palettes? A furry leopard print jacket? But at the exclusion of those few things, Frida Giannini's collection shines through with the usual blend of smart and casual; with elements like velvet blazers, skinny white jeans, and slim-cut suiting repeatedly cropping up throughout, gelling it all together. The velvet really took centre stage towards the end of the show; rich velvet coats and blazers in plumb, midnight blue, and burnt orange created luxurious looks that will make the daring truly stand out.
