Katy Perry: lingerie and thigh highs

Perusing pictures from the event, one might be forgiven for thinking that the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards had little to do with music and more to do with fashion trends. After all, both Beyonce and Katy Perry took to the stage in Berlin donning 2009's and 2010's underwear as outerwear trend. Perry even found time to don a pair of lace-up, over the knee boots. Street Style: suspenders & oversized blazer, Paris

Belgium model Claire Granlund gives a rather coy pose while spotted outside the Emanuel Ungaro fashion show in Paris. We love this take on the lingerie as outerwear trend; opaque thigh-high stockings with exposed suspenders are an understated option, especially with only a few centimetres of thigh showing (take note, Taylor Momsen). Meanwhile the cool, relaxed-fit boyfriend blazer balances out perfectly with the sexy lower half of the outfit.

We love our coffee table books here at Fashionising.com and who better to adorn our table then the ever lovely Heidi Klum. In his new book Rankin compiles some of the best photographs that he has captured of Heidi - who has never had a problem getting to the bare essentials even before nudity in fashion became a major fashion trend. The book, aptly titled Heidilicious, spans the length of Heidi's career starting with her rise to super stardom as a Victoria's Secret Angel, to today at age 36 with four children and a still smoking hot body.
