It was as far back as 2007 that we really saw animal prints take off as a trend. Hypermodel Kate Moss isn't letting go of the trend too quickly, though, clinging to her favourite leopard print coat throughout the cooler English months.

How to master the bow trend in 2009 without looking too over-the-top girly? Follow Olga Kurylenko's lead.
At the Quantum of Solace premiere in Amsterdam recently, she wore a floor-length plum gown by Yves Saint Laurent with a black bow at the waist.

After noticing the Spring/Summer 2009 trend of romantic fairy-tale dresses, we anticipated some fairy-tale editorials would follow. Enter Coco Rocha, doing her best fair maiden impersonation for the December 2008 issue of US Vogue.

Alexa Chung has the Autumn (Fall)/Winter 2009 bohemian luxury trend down pat. She attended the 2008 British Fashion Awards this week in a folk-inspired paisley print dress from American Classics; paired with a Mulberry clutch, black scarf, and patent black ankle boots.

Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko seems to be a fan of the mermaid dress trend. Having already stepped out in a striking black Dolce & Gabbana fishtail dress in Rome, she most recently attended the film's premiere in Tokyo in a fish-scale Chanel gown.
But while milkmaid braids have emerged as a hair trend for 2009, we're not so sure that Olga's cornrows are going to take off in a big way.

Forever New is a brand that's seen rapid expansion since it first launched at Chadstone two years ago. Following a similar model to retail giants like Topshop or H&M, only on a much smaller scale, Forever New makes up-to-date styles accessible to a lower-spend demographic. The range of accessories stocked by the store are particularly impressive; from shoes, to sunglasses, to bags and jewellery.

The world is in the midst of a financial crisis, a bleak dystopian future like that we saw in Blade Runner seems not to be out of the question. At least that's what proponents of the cyberpunk fashion trend want you to believe. Lately we had Beyonce's golden glove (more of C-3P0 than Pris) and Victoria Beckham in latex leggings. Now Rihanna joins the crew in this seriously bondage inspired outfit:
While jewel-studded clothing is one thing, Rihanna's getup just looks plain dangerous.

Mischa Barton may have more than her fair share of fashion disasters; but it seems her more recent choices (or the choices of a new stylist perhaps?) have her back on track. She attended a resort opening in Dubai last week in a one-shoulder, grecian goddess style dress.

What do you do when your pixie crop is starting to get longer? Victoria Beckham knows just how to deal with hers, stepping out with a toussled hairdo kept in place by a simple black headband. Beckham wore her white Dolce & Gabbana dress and Balenciaga pointed-toe shoes (a shoe trend we spotted for 2008) to a party at Beso recently.
