As the Melbourne spring racing carnival still carries on with Emirates stakes day to come, Chitra's Closet shows us some fine examples of hats and dresses that could be worn to such an event.

It wasn't so long ago that we saw Kristen Stewart step out with her short black hairstyle looking elfin and chic. Unfortunately the bedraggled Joan Jett mullet seems to be back again.
Slightly redeeming is Kristen's choice of jacket, namely a tuxedo-inspired boyfriend blazer.

Wearing many a decadent outfit, and against an even more decadent backdrop, model Constance Jablonski gets to play dress-ups for the November 2009 issue of Harper's Bazaar Russia. And for the best bit, it's pretty hard to go past these crazy but cool Vivienne Westwood thigh high socks.

Ever wondered what it's like to walk one of the world's most coveted catwalks? Model Nastya Karzan shows us exactly that. With a spy camera hidden in her hair, Nastya reveals to us the hectic nature of being backstage at a fashion show, how daunting it is to face all those people watching the catwalk, and that Karl Lagerfeld is about the only person to not break a sweat backstage.
The video is after the jump.

Looking dangerously gorgeous Natalie Portman features in an edgy editorial for issue #62 of V Magazine. We especially love this shot of Natalie sporting a cropped bustier for a sexy underwear as outerwear look, paired with some military inspired shoulder accessories.

With her big eyes and a cutesy side ponytail, Perth model Skye Stracke certainly looks the part of the classic Aussie girl-next-door. In cosy furs, over the knee boots and jodhpur-style pants, Skye looks perfectly in place with the country setting. And in amidst it all photographer Jock Sturges throws in this elegant black and white shot of Skye in bunny ears.

This editorial of Abbey Lee Kershaw is somewhat captivating. It's not the nudity (because what shoot these days doesn't show some skin?); it's not the styling (though, personally, I love the styling, especially the prominent use of thigh high boots). It's more the concept, the strange, puppet-like poses that give Abbey Lee a robotic feel, the dystopian vision that the metalic bindings and Rodarte pieces create and yet all against the contrastingly light, bright, painted backdrop. Over-analysing? Maybe. But I still think it's worth a look.

We've seen plenty examples of the military trend on the street... and as such an effortless look it's not hard to see why it's so popular. Here's yet another take on the trend, paired with denim cut-off shorts and ankle boots.

Odds are you've already seen this editorial from the September 2009 issue of Jalouse, which perhaps takes the prize, to date, of the most pairs of bunny ears in a single shoot. Starring Morgane Dubled and a fantastic example of how bunny ear headbands can be styled, we wanted to draw your attention to it just in case you haven't checked it out yet.

Creepiest use of the bondage trend in a photo shoot? Potentially this one of Shannan Click naked and bound with ropes as if an unwilling victim in some twisted scene. There are some great shots in it though - I especially love this one of Click tied up against a silhouette of archways; an undeniably striking picture.
