It's got cutaway swimsuits, fur, and nudity to boot... but it's the lush Garden of Eden setting that really grabs us in this POP Magazine editorial.

So far now from the ungainly teenager in big hoop earrings and trainers, Lily Allen has just cemented her place in GQ's hall of fame; being named their 'Woman Of The Year' for 2009. The accompanying photoshoot sees Lily go topless again, as she did not so long ago for ID Magazine.

Though very much NSFW - including full frontal nudity - this shoot of Dree Hemingway is actually one of the tamer ones to feature in Issue 12 of Purple magazine. You may recall some intriguing fetish action happening in Paola Kudacki's beauty shoot; and there are many other shoots that push the nudity trend in new directions in the issue. In this one, Hemingway pulls some great poses in nothing but a pair of Rodarte thigh high boots.

With a mixture of day and evening ware, which highlighted the structure and quality of good cuts that make for a strong wardrobe, the third of the official Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) fashion parades proved to be the strongest. Equally as strong was the parade's offering of Spring/Summer 2009's must-have fashion trends.

The transformation of Lara Stone from bomb-shell blonde to soft brunette continues as yet more pictures of the model in the September 2009 issue of Vogue Paris hit the Internet.

Rihanna's penchant for nipple covers is no secret after she wore them very publicly. Whilst such a public fusion of the lingerie as outerwear and nudity fashion trends earned accusations of tackiness, the reaction to Rihanna wearing even more revealing outfits, in some instances again paired with nipple covers, in the September 2009 issue of Vogue Italia is unlikely to be equally as harsh.

Following in the footsteps of Kate Moss comes Lily Allen in her latest cover shoot for Elle magazine. Seemingly obsessed with fringed bobbed hairstyles, Lily's peroxide blonde look is highly reminiscent of the one Kate Moss sported in Interview mag last year.

Ok, so it's not the worst example of double denim we've seen this year. But we're pretty sure that's mostly due to model Amber Valletta working some kind of extra-special magic that mere mortals could not accomplish. So, we wouldn't recommend trying this one at home. Another shot from the same editorial has Amber in another denim shirt but with leather skinny pants - a much better combination if you're out to avoid the double-denim look.

I have to hand it to Olivier Zahm: he has his finger on the pulse. While other magazines are losing readership, he uses the Internet to an almost perfect degree to promote the Purple Fashion magazine. Of course, the title itself is perfectly poised to take advantage of the blurring lines between nudity and fashion. We're constantly told that print is dead, but Purple Fashion is far from it, and the 12th issue is on the way.

When Vogue Italia released it's Black Issue in July last year, the newsstands emptied so fast that a re-print was ordered to cope with the demand. Will the September 2009 issue of i-D Magazine find the same success?
Sporting a tagline of 'Pretty Young Things', the cover features models Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, Arlenis Sosa, and Sessilee Lopez dishing out confident winks against a backdrop of colourful graffiti.
