September 2009 is a great month for magazine editorials. Only yesterday we trumpeted the classic elegance of Vogue's 40s inspired shoot, In The Mood. Here's another - from the September 2009 issue of W Magazine - that takes inspiration from the same era, only with a more sensual feel. Featuring many a vintage take on the lingerie as outerwear trend, Sunday In The Park mixes traditional British tweeds with "racy underwear" and thigh high boots.

Coco Rocha, a cable knit cape, and an old-fashioned bicycle. Models in Balenciaga frocks playing croquet. Draping gowns in smoky bars. It's the epitome of 40s glamour, and while we only yesterday mentioned Natasha Poly's shoot for Vogue Paris as one of our favourites for September 2009, this one - though a complete contrast - also makes the list.

While nudity in fashion magazines has practically become the norm, there's something to be said for a model who - fully clothed - oozes more sex appeal than most of us could only dream of. Said model is, of course, Natasha Poly.
In a shoot for the September 2009 issue of Vogue Paris, Poly dons everything from capes to leather pieces to an assortment of thigh high boots; and makes each outfit as saleable and as sexy as the last.

Before Coco Rocha decided to go black she was photographed for the Liz Claiborne Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009/2010 campaign. It's no secret I'm a sucker for a redhead even though it's still refusing to crop up as a part of our hair trends forecast. The photos released so far have a very vintage feel, I keep expecting the Beatles to pop up and start playing 'Yellow Submarine' at me.

Featuring the unmistakable strappy leather bondage/fetish piece from Bordelle lingerie Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009 comes a shoot in the latest issue of Numero magazine titled 'Best Friends'. Hussein Chalayan's thigh high boots also feature, as does a substantial dose of nudity.

Bar for the odd leisurely bikini photos from some luxury yacht or another, we've been seeing very little of Kate Moss in recent months. She's finally reappeared in a few September 2009 magazine issues, Vogue Russia amoung them. In this shoot, Moss rocks some Balmain Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009/2010 with as much ease as ever.

Upon hearing the name Lara Stone the mental picture I conjure up is something of a mix between gapped teeth, big hair and bigger breasts. As chauvinist as that may sound the fact remains that with her unequalled curves, Stone has been a favourite of the nudity trend. While that may have previously led to accusations of a lack of diversity on Stone's part, such prejudices are sure be undone with the September 2009 issue of Vogue Paris if, like me, you do a double-take when told that it's Lara Stone who graces the cover.

Here's one for the lingerie as outerwear file. Featured in the September 2009 issue of Vogue Deutsch, in an editorial titled UBERsinnlich, we're pretty sure these Wolford stockings are way too cool to cover up. In fact, most of Wolford's offerings are.

We've had sapphic Eniko and we've symmetrically-nude Eniko; now get ready for perfectly-tanned nude Eniko Mihalik.
Courtesy of the August 2009 issue of Vogue Italia, it's yet another instance of the growing blur between fashion and nudity.

A few days ago we saw Kristen Stewart at the Teen Choice Awards wearing this very number: the spike-covered 'Roma' dress. Rock & Republic's Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009 campaign, shot by Stephane Olivier, uses the same dress and captures the rock-chic vibe of the collection.
