In all the time we've been tracking nudity in fashion, we've seen more and more magazine editorials featuring varying degrees of bare skin, and yet it is still, of course, the European publications that are the most liberal. Vogue Australia seems to be finally warming to the trend, with their September 2009 issue featuring models Catherine McNeil and Abbey Lee Kershaw topless. Interestingly, we've seen one original set of images in which both models have nipple rings; yet in a second released set of images these have been airbrushed out. Perhaps the nipple bars were a little too fetishist for Vogue Australia?

We predict that fashion in 2010 will fuse elements of futurism along with key historical-based trends like capes and female dandy looks. For a great example of this, look no further than issue 16 of FASHIONTREND Australia, which features a fantastic shoot titled Siberia 2020. In this editorial modern and classic collide, and fashion and art are subtly fused to create a visually striking series of images.

When it comes to swimwear trends, you really can't go past the strappy, bandagey, cutaway pieces of Herve Leger's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. This shot from Allure magazine is a prime example of how dramatic this style of swimwear can really look.

The trend towards nudity in fashion shoots is ever gathering momentum, in fact there seems to barely be a shoot this month that doesn't include at least a few NSFW shots. Eniko Mihalik is no stranger to the trend. In the Spring/Summer 2009 issue of Self Service magazine, she gets her kit off again, posing topless in a series of shots that have a distinctly 1970s raw Polaroid feel to them.

Lily Allen does a pretty good job of staying in the spotlight. Pictures from her campaign for Chanel have now come to light - shot by the inimitable Mr Karl Lagerfeld, they show Lily posing in monochrome outfits and tiaras that scream Breakfast At Tiffany's.

I've little to say about this shoot of Gisele Bundchen, other than that it is emotive, sensual, and stunning. As well as wearing several instances of the thigh-high boots trend, Gisele rocks a fur-coat, suspenders, and a cigarette like nothing I've ever seen before. Photographer Nino Munoz was behind the lens on this one.

ADN de la Mode - which appears in Vogue Paris, August 2009 - is a shoot of epic proportions. With 65 pages of photos, there's barely a trend that doesn't feature. Count nudity, thigh-high boots, lingerie as outerwear, and tribal influences amoung them.

With The Sartorialist book hitting shelves and a new campaign for SABA Denim released today, Scott Schuman has certainly been a busy man. The SABA campaign - which comprises of a series of street style shots, taken in Melbourne - is also on public display as a gallery in Duckboard Place.

Derelicte? No, it's not a promo for the Zoolander sequel; nor is it the latest fashion venture of the Olsen Twins. Rather, it's an editorial in the August 2009 issue of Marie Claire Italia, titled Hobo and taking its inspirations from exactly that.
