A stark and somewhat refreshing contrast to the masses of fetish and bondage inspired lingerie shoots we've been seeing, this editorial from Elle Italia titled Elle Anteprima is divinely soft and feminine.

Ok so it's hardly a permanant change... Australia supermodel Miranda Kerr is unlikely to chop off her long locks anytime soon, but for the sake of a shoot in the Herald Sun Sunday Magazine we got to have a sneak peek at what Miranda would look like with the short black hairstyle. And we must say it looks surprisingly good on her.

It's not the first time we've seen young Dutch beauty Marloes Horst partake in the nudity trend in the name of fashion. Here she is looking supremely gorgeous in a recent shoot for issue #24 of Zoo Magazine, Netherlands.

Heavy leather outfits and sexed-up thigh-high boots belie the lush and sunlit backdrop of this Numero magazine editorial. Eniko Mihalik stars as the bewitching protagonist of the shoot.

We don't imagine many people are running out to buy this awfully strange Margiela jumpsuit with nipple tassels; but we expect every male is wishing they had an intern like Anouck Lepere around the office, thanks to this Dazed and Confused shoot. In one especially gorgeous shot Anouck wears a completely sheer shirt, jodhpurs, and thigh high boots.

In a shoot titled 'Emmanuelle' - assumedly after the classic French erotic film - Masha Novoselova stars in the October 2009 issue of Vogue Spain. The shoot has a definite 1970s feel to it: with sunlit scenes and a soft focused lens. In several shots, Masha poses in Louis Vuitton's thigh high boots; but for the most part, it's lingerie and nudity for the gorgeous Masha.

If Kristen Stewart's pictorial in the 40th anniversary issue of Interview evokes anything it's that I couldn't be more thrilled to see her mullet make way for the infinitely classier interpretation of the short black hairstyle we saw on her at the MTV Video Music Awards.

If you're overcome by a wave of nostalgia when you turn the richly illustrated pages of Maurice Sendak's classic book 'Where The Wild Things Are', then this next shoot is for you.
Unconventional, imaginative, and overwhelmingly cute, this fashion shoot concept by Opening Ceremony was released in the lead-up to Spike Jonze's film adaptation of the story, which hits cinemas this month.

Kate Moss is making a few magazine appearances for October 2009; as well as popping up in Vogue UK she also has a dedicated shoot, simply titled 'Kate', in Vogue Paris. Still indulging in a bit of nudity, she's also peddling the thigh high boots trend.
If this particular pair of boots look familiar, they're the Christian Louboutin Supra Fifre 120 thigh-high boots that we saw on Linsday Lohan in Elle magazine back in August.

I've remarked on Lara Stone's transformative qualities before now, and her latest editorial is no different. Shot for the October 2009 issue of Vogue Paris, one might describe it as a world tour for Stone; there's black Stone, white Stone, Arabian Stone, Far Eastern Stone, and Venetian Stone. As such, there's also a large chance of this editorial causing controversy.
